Born in New Hampshire’s summer of 1996, Brian homeschooled until he attended sixth-to-tenth-grade public school (followed by PSEO) in Minnesota. In high school he completed a week of Catholic HEART Workcamp in Montana one summer, and a week in Colorado the next. He worked at two Information Technology (IT) startups in the Twin Cities from 2011-2015. Starting PSEO at Inver Hills Community College right after turning 16, he got a Traumatic Brain Injury from crashing, without any passengers, into a tree, and became Hard of Hearing.

Brian graduated from UMN in 2017 with a B.Sc. in Technical Writing and Communication, IT and Design, and worked at OATI, Inc. in Minneapolis for a year. Switching to part-time work and independent fiction writing, he moved to Michigan in ’19 and Colorado in ’21, returning to Minnesota in ’22 with a job at ADP, Inc.

Due to face masks and air dividers Brian faced an upsurge in hearing-loss stress during the pandemic, so he took a break from posting new stories. His IT career fills his time and he plans to again allocate some to writing by the mid 2020’s.
